Road Closures and Diversions

 

Issue Date Friday 17th February 2017

Ongoing Works:

  • Grenville Place: Full closure outbound from the junction of Henry Street to the junction of Grattan Street to facilitate the restoration of Boole House (Cumnor), local access for neighbouring businesses will be maintained, - **Please note that this closure will remain in place until early 2017**
  • Sunday’s Well Road: Full closure inbound currently in place from the junction of Shanakiel Road to facilitate the restructuring of a retaining wall at Panorama Terrace (Manning Ground Engineering), local access will be maintained - **Please note that this closure will remain in place until end March 2017**
  • John F Connelly Road: Lane restriction in operation from 0800hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate gully installation (Country Clean), two way traffic will be maintained this will be in place until 18th February 2017
  • Cattlemarket Avenue: Full closure currently in place outbound to facilitate watermain installation as part of the watermain contract (MGOS), local diversion in place - this will be in place until 24th February 2017
  • Bowling Green Street: Lane restrictions currently in operation to facilitate repair to Dunnes Stores (Sisk), traffic will be maintained

Upcoming Works:

Saturday 18th February 2017

  • Lavitt’s Quay & Christy Ring Bridge: Lane restrictions in place from 0600hrs this morning to facilitate truck setup for Gradam Ceoil at the Opera House. These restrictions will remain in place until early Monday morning 22nd February, possible delays expected
  • Popes Quay: Cycle Track will be closed from 0930hrs - 1400hrs to facilitate tree pruning (Parks Dept, CCC)

Sunday 19th February 2017

  • Lavitt’s Quay & Christy Ring Bridge: Lane restrictions currently in place to facilitate truck setup for Gradam Ceoil at the Opera House. These restrictions will remain in place until early Monday morning 22nd February, possible delays expected
  • Douglas Road: Stop/go in place from 0930hrs – 1530hrs near the junction with Bellair to facilitate new domestic connection (Water Dept, CCC)

Monday 20th February 2017

  • South Ring Road (N40): Lane restrictions in place southbound from 2100hrs – 0500hrs to facilitate new barrier & concrete drain installation (Egis), expect delays
  • Union Quay: Lane restrictions in place from 0800hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate foul tie in for Anglesea Street Courthouse (BAM), two way traffic will be maintained
  • Mardyke Walk/Dyke Parade: Bus Lane closed from 0930hrs – 1600hrs adjacent St. Joseph's School to facilitate drainage repair (Drainage Dept, CCC)
  • Cathedral Walk: Full closure in place from 0930hrs this morning to facilitate permanent road reinstatement as part of the watermain contract (MGOS),
  • Commons Road: Full closure inbound in place until 1800hrs this evening to facilitate permanent road reinstatement as part of the watermain contract (MGOS), local diversion in place

Tuesday 21st February 2017

  • South Ring Road (N40): Lane restrictions in place southbound from 2100hrs – 0500hrs to facilitate new barrier & concrete drain installation (Egis), expect delays
  • Grenville Place: Full closure from 0930hrs – 1800hrs from the junction of Henry Street to the junction of Grattan Street to facilitate the restoration of Boole House (Cumnor), local access for neighbouring businesses will be maintained

  • Cathedral Walk: Full closure currently in place until 1800hrs this evening to facilitate permanent road reinstatement as part of the watermain contract (MGOS)
  • St. Marys Road: Full closure in place from 0930hrs this morning to facilitate permanent road reinstatement as part of the watermain contract (MGOS), local diversion in place
  • Victoria Road: Lane restriction in operation from 0930hrs – 1530hrs to facilitate the repair of a burst watermain (Water Dept, CCC), two way traffic will be maintained
  • Wilton Road: Bus Lane closed from 1030hrs – 1500hrs near the junction with Liam Lynch Park to facilitate replacement of traffic cabinets & controllers (Traffic Dept, CCC)

Wednesday 22nd February 2017

  • Upper Cattlemarket Street: Stop/Go in place from 0930hrs -1800hrs to facilitate road crossing as part of the watermain contract (MGOS)
  • St. Marys Road: Full closure in place until 1800hrs this evening to facilitate permanent road reinstatement as part of the watermain contract (MGOS), local diversion in place
  • Richmond Hill: Full closure in place from 0930hrs – 1630hrs from the junction of Audley Place/Old Youghal Road to the junction of Hardwick Street to facilitate water main repair (Water Dept, CCC), local diversion in place
  • Wilton Road: Bus Lane closed from 1030hrs – 1500hrs near the junction with Liam Lynch Park to facilitate replacement of traffic cabinets & controllers (Traffic Dept, CCC)
  • Boreenmanna Road: Stop/Go in place from 0930hrs -1600hrs near the junction with Corvalley Court to facilitate gas main installation (BBCLG on behalf of GNI), expect delays
  • Roselawn:  Stop/Go in place from 0930hrs -1530hrs to facilitate gas service cut off (BBCLG on behalf of GNI)

  • South Ring Road (N40): Lane restrictions in place southbound from 2100hrs – 0500hrs to facilitate removal of existing median & concrete drain installation in the central reservation (Egis), expect delays
  • Union Quay: Lane restrictions in place from 0800hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate foul tie in for Anglesea Street Courthouse (BAM), two way traffic will be maintained
  • Mardyke Walk/Dyke Parade: Bus Lane closed from 0930hrs – 1600hrs adjacent St. Joseph's School to facilitate drainage repair (Drainage Dept, CCC)
  • Woods Street: Full closure in place from 0930hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate gully repair at the junction of Sheare’s Street (Roads Maintenance, CCC)

  • Model Farm Road: Stop/Go in place from 0930hrs -1600hrs near the junction with the IDA Business Park to facilitate installation of a commercial service (BBCLG on behalf of GNI), expect delays
  • Curraheen Road: Lane restriction in operation from 0930hrs – 1600hrs near the entrance to Deanshall to facilitate clearance of blockage (KN networks on behalf of Eir)
  • Church Road: Full road closure outbound in place from 0930hrs – 1500hrs at the junction with Blackrock Road to facilitate repair of burst watermain (Water Dept, CCC), inbound traffic will be unaffected, local diversion in place

  • Union Quay: Lane restrictions in place from 0800hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate foul tie in for Anglesea Street Courthouse (BAM), two way traffic will be maintained
  • Mardyke Walk/Dyke Parade: Bus Lane closed from 0930hrs – 1600hrs adjacent St. Joseph's School to facilitate drainage repair (Drainage Dept, CCC)
  • Old Youghal Road: Full closure in place until 1800hrs from the junction of Military Hill to the junction of Audley Place to facilitate permanent road reinstatement as part of the watermain contract (MGOS), local diversion in place
